2016/03 / Holi Hé

previousnext

Holi Hé is a reactive floor projection that refers to the trace of colours people leave behind during Holi – the indian Festival of Colours. A festival in which the participants chase and colour each other with colourful dry powder and coloured water. The frolic and fight with colours occurs in the streets and spreads over the whole city. This installation interplays with the presence of virtuality in the analog world. The set-up of this temporary installation took place in Dharavi (Mumbai, India).

Concept and realization by Felix Hardmood Beck, Helping hands Craig Protzel (NYUAD), Rahul Srivastava (URBZ), Software: Motion FX, FocusMask, Hardware: Canon WUX6010, MacBook Pro, HD webcam, and a bathroom mirror.
