From 2016–2020 Felix Hardmood Beck was 'Assistant Professor of Practice of Design' at the New York University Abu Dhabi's Engineering Department. He lead the NTSI Lab during this time. In 2020 he accepted a position as Full Professor at the Münster School of Design (University of Applied Sciences Münster) and moved from Abu Dhabi to Münster (Gernmany). He works in the fields of innovation and design. In his projects he envisions systems and spaces, and creates and deploys innovative objects through design and engineering tools. He develops scenarios and pioneers use-cases for the interaction of humans, digital media and artifacts of the non-digital world. His work has been featured in a range of art and design publications and has gone on to several exhibitions and international design festivals. As design director he conceives and develops innovative designs for engaging experiences, objects, cutting-edge interactive installations and media environments through physical properties of objects and materials and the use of narrative technologies.
